Regular Season Round 31: Ridzene - Kutaisi 79-68

Not a big story in a game when 31th ranked GeorgianKutaisi (4-4) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Latvian Ridzene (7-1) 79-68 on Sunday. Kutaisi was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 11-point lead after three quarters before a 28-6 charge of Ridzene, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kutaisi to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Ridzene forced 20 Kutaisi turnovers. It was a great evening for Norberts Aizbalts (-2008) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds. Kristers Silins helped adding 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side Gera Tcheishvili (-2007) responded with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Sandro Managadze (193-2007) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ridzene have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 9 other teams. Loser Kutaisi dropped to the 32th position with four games lost. They share it with 9 other teams.
